So How's That College Degree Working Out for You?

I realized that I've hit a new all-time low when I was on the phone with my dad the other day and I was telling him how excited I was because of all the babysitting and dogsitting jobs I have lined up for the month of August.  His response, "So how's that college degree workin' out for you?"  Granted, it's just for the month of August, when the dance studio is on its 'summer break' and track practices have not yet begun.  But I still had to laugh.

In Other News...

I'm really excited about my dance schedule this upcoming school year.  I've got some really great classes lined up.

I'm also really excited about the progress of my company pieces for this year.  Seniors, juniors and petites are all looking really good so far.  I'm doing a senior small group that I think is going to pretty amazing.  I think it's going to be a good year.  I'm feeling a little pressure after the success of last year.  But I think it's going to be a really great year.

We're starting a men's track program at St Francis this year.  I'm anxious to see how the guys handle having a chick as a coach.  I had a couple guys work out with us a little last year and they were really cool.  And my recruits all seem cool.  So it should be good. 

I don't think anybody reads my blog.  Probably not even my mom.  Oh well.

 I got a compliment from youtube today.  Sure it wasn't really a compliment, but I'm going to take it as one.  Because I want to feel good. 

I have a video on my site of me dancing to some of my own choreography.  So you know at the end of a video it will have that 'If you liked that, you'll like this too.' thing?  Well, after my video came a series of videos of Mia Michael's* choreography.  And so I was like "Yea!  WORK!" 

Even if it's based on key words and tags.  I think I'm cool now.  And that's really all that matters.

*Mia Michaels = my choreography hero
